Day 11
We took down the bear bags and had some breakfast. We had to hurry to get ready for our big horse ride this morning.
We line up for class.
After the boys and Kurt
left on the horse back
ride the fat boys went over to the branding area to try
and get ahead.
Our group returned after a very wild trail ride.
Next up for our group was branding.
After the standard
instruction by staff it
was time for us to put the Philmont brand on
some of our stuff. There was one thing we had to
take care of first. Turns out after questioning staff, it
was possible to brand a Scout with the
Philmont cattle brand as long as we had a permission
slip from his mother. Are we luckily are what, we
just happen to have a permission slip from Mama Litherland.
